Poppy Class

Hi, my name is Sarah Holyoak and I have the privilege of teaching the wonderful children in Poppy class.

I am passionate about giving children the opportunity to explore, investigate and discover through play as this is a key part of their learning. Children learn best when they are happy, and I believe they are the happiest when they are playing! I am looking forward to getting to know all the families and children in Poppy class, and I am excited to embark on this school journey alongside you all!

Hello, my name is Megan Turner.

I teach Poppy class on a Thursday and Friday, and I’m really looking forward to joining the children on their exciting adventure into school life. I am also the Early Years Phase Lead. I love to read and share stories with children, especially funny ones. Outside of school I enjoy swimming and being around horses.

Important Information:

We will meet the children on the playground in the mornings and support them to go up the steps and into class. Please do not come up onto the decking to put your child’s things away as it makes it very crowded and harder for children to move around.

Please ensure your child brings their book bag and a named water bottle to school each day. We ask you to practise reading or their phonics activities three times per week and to make a note in their reading record.

On a Wednesday afternoon Mr Rees will teach Music and Mr Leewarden will teach PE. Please send your child into school in their PE kit.
