Oak Class
Hello, my name is Miss Marck-Wilson, and this is my third year teaching at St Werbugh’s Primary School. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a welcoming school community and a wonderful team.
This is my fifth year teaching Year 5, and I particularly enjoy the opportunity to build strong, positive relationships with children and their families throughout their primary school journey. I feel privileged to support children as they develop academically and personally, helping them overcome challenges, discover their strengths and develop their own unique voices and passions.
My aim is for every child who leaves my classroom to be a confident, creative and resilient learner. I believe that every day is a fresh start and that mistakes are an important part of learning. I encourage children to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks and approach new experiences with curiosity and confidence.
Alongside my teaching role, I am the French Lead for the school. As a native French speaker, I have a real passion for languages and love inspiring children to develop their own enthusiasm for language learning. I particularly enjoy showing children how languages can open doors to new cultures, perspectives and connections with others.
Outside of school, I enjoy running, swimming and cycling, and I am currently working towards completing a half Ironman.

Weekly timetable
PE Days
In term 1 PE is on Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure that you wear a PE kit to school on these days. Our PE kit is plain black shorts; leggings or joggers; plain white or school PE t-shirt; school jumper.
Homework
Each week, we send home two homework activities - a spelling task and some arithmetic questions based on recent learning.
Please read daily at home as much as possible. Ask lots of questions during this time to support their comprehension as well as their decoding skills.
Useful information
Our doors are open at 8:45, with the children coming straight into class for morning work. This work is a helpful way to secure understanding of prior learning, so please ensure that your child is on time every day.
